1. Remuneration

Remuneration following full ABA Registration

The approved salary scale (as at 01/06/2005) for your post is € 30,537 – 43,800

Long Service Increment (payable after 3 years on max. of scale with HSE) €40,528.


2. Airfare

The Health Service Executive will pay your airfare(upto € 800) from your country of origin to Ireland. Subject to you complying fully with all contractual obligations, the Health Service Executive will pay your return airfare from Ireland following completion of this contract.


3. Accommodation

The Health Service Executive will pay your accommodation for the first six weeks of your stay in Ireland. Should you break your contract before you have completed two years employment, you will be expected to refund the accommodation costs in full.


4. Required Hours of Attendance

The standard weekly working hours of attendance for your grade are 39 hours per week. Your normal weekly working hours are 39 hours. Contracted hours, which are less than the standard weekly working hours for your grade will be paid pro rata to the full time equivalent.


5. Annual leave

Annual leave and public holidays are granted in accordance with the provisions of the Organisation of Working Time Act, 1997. The annual leave entitlement for your grade, based on the standard hours of attendance, for days per completed year of service is as follows:

0-5 years – 24 days

5-10 years – 25 days

More than 10 years – 27 days


6. Superannuating / Pension

You will be covered by the terms of the Local Government Superannuation Scheme – New Entrant Officers for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2004.


7. Sick leave

You are covered by the Health Service Executive sick leave scheme, applicable to your grade, details available on request.


8. Family Visa

You can invite your family to Ireland once you complete your Training
