To work as a nurse in the Ireland , there are a few basic requirements :
  • For Midwifery Nurse : Nurse must have a MSc. Degree in Midwifery
  • For Psychiatry Nurse: Nurse must have a MSc. Degree in Psychiatry
  • For General Nurse : Nurse must have a Diploma or a B.Sc in Nursing
  • Nurse should be working in a minimum 200 bedded hospital.
  • Nurse must possess a current nursing license in her home country.
  • Nurse must be currently employed ( recent work gap of more than 6 months is not acceptable )
  • Nurse must have atleast 2 years of continuous experience in a particular specialty
  • Nurse must have attempted one of the three following tests administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS):

IELTS (Academics/UKVI)

  • Scores of 7 in three modules. Can have 6.5 in any one module
  • OR

OET

  • Scores of ‘B’ in three modules. Can have ‘C+’ in any one module
